Meet Our Teachers
Woolly Wormhead
Originally from London, Woolly now live in the hills of Montefeltro in central Italy. Their work has been widely published, and their patterns are trusted and celebrated by knitters all over the world. Avid fans of Woolly’s patterns affectionately gave them the moniker “The Hat Architect” due to the unusual construction techniques found within their designs, and their approach to knit technique and construction.
Woolly originally trained in electronic engineering and worked in the industry for a number of years before returning to their first love—textiles. From there, they studied textile technology, then fine art and sculptural textiles, before doing their post-grad in education and going on to teach art and textiles in London for several years. Woolly has pulled from this knowledge to question the structure of the humble knitted fabric and challenge our understanding of construction.
As an Autistic with ADHD, Woolly brings a unique perspective to our stitches, what they can do, and how we can manipulate them. They are the author of the best-seller Short-Row Colorwork: The Definitive Step-by-Step Guide. Find them online at

Justyna Lorkowska
Justyna (aka Lete’s Knits) is a former English teacher and an all-around knitting fanatic. She learned her first stitches as a teenager from her mother but didn’t truly embrace the craft until she had her first child. Justyna’s true passion is designing unique garments, especially seamless ones, with intricate details and beautiful finishing. She has been published by many popular knitting magazines such as Amirisu, Laine, and Pom Pom Quarterly, and she has been featured in numerous knitting books. In 2021, Justyna launched an indie hand-dyed yarn brand called Cecily Grove Yarns, where she dyes colorful skeins to complement her fun designs. Justyna lives in Poland.
