What is the Weather Like?
Taos is located in the northern region of the state, and only 50 miles south of the Colorado border. Taos has a semi-arid climate with extreme diurnal variations of temperature and low rainfall. Even when summer days get extremely hot, nights can be pleasantly cool. The low humidity and high altitude mean you'll need to stay hydrated when visiting and we recommend you bring along sunscreen, lotion, and lip balm. Don't forget to drink lots of water to stay hydrated throughout your visit.
