4:00-6:00PM: Sunset Serenade Train Experience (boarding at 3:40PM) - Get ready for a knit night adventure of a lifetime! Climb aboard and expect the unexpected as you travel the historic rail between Santa Fe and Lamy NM.We will have our own private car complete with live music and a champagne toast to mark our journey. Sit back, relax with your knitting, and enjoy the beautiful sunset light of New Mexico.
7:00PM–9:00PM: Dinner at hotel with Mary Walker, Navajo Weaving expert and founder and owner of Weaving in Beauty, a full service fiber arts store. Will discuss contemporary Navajo weaving, demonstrating and selling all things Southwestern Fiber Arts.  

9:00PM: Informal group knitting    

Tuesday. December 12th
7:30AM-8:30AM: Breakfast 
9AM–12:00PM: Morning Workshop
Group B: Living Lace A Shetland Story with Gudrun Johnston 
Group A: Exploring Color in Fair Isle Knitting with Mary Jane Mucklestone

12:00PM–1:30PM: Lunch at the hotel and presentation and shopping experience with Laura Martin, owner of Hacer -- Santa Fe’s community oriented natural fiber and fabric studio.
1:30PM–5:30PM: Free time in Santa Fe

Optional free time events: 

Hacer – just a short 6 to 8 minute walk from the Hotel Santa Fe – will open their doors for shopping.

Also, Gudrun and Mary Jane will join author David Anthony Durham (Gudrun’s husband) for a book signing at George RR Martin’s bookstore: Beastly Books. David is the author on numerous novels – literary, historical, epic fantasy – and will be celebrating the new publication in his children’s fantasy series, The Shadow Prince. The store is a short 5 to 8 minute walk from the Hotel Santa Fe and on the way to the plaza where your holiday shopping awaits!
