Accessibility & Inclusive Experience

At Knitting LIVE! we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable throughout the event. We offer several accessibility options for attendees who may need additional assistance.

Masked Marketplace Hours

To provide a more comfortable shopping experience for immunocompromised attendees and others who may benefit from additional precautions masks will be required during the first hour of the Marketplace on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 11 AM.

After 11 AM masks will be optional. Thank you for helping us make Knitting LIVE! welcoming and accessible to everyone.

Early Access

Headed to a class, lecture, Cocktail Reception or Dinner? Early Access is available for attendees with disabilities who need additional time to enter and get settled.

If you indicated this need when registering you do not need to wait in line. Head to the entrance and let the door monitor know you need Early Access. When possible you may enter up to 20 minutes early.

Students may arrive at the class area up to two hours before their scheduled class. If you need additional time to get settled please plan to arrive early.

Marketplace Accessibility

Marketplace aisles have been expanded to make it easier for attendees using wheelchairs, walkers, canes or other mobility devices to move through the space.

Fashion Show and Marketplace Stage Seating

Accessible seating and space for attendees using mobility devices will be available at the Fashion Show and Marketplace Stage on the 6th floor. Look for designated signs or ask a volunteer or staff member for assistance.

Quiet Zone

Need a quiet place to take a break? A Quiet Zone will be available in the Harlem Room on the 7th floor during Marketplace hours. This space is available for anyone with sensory needs or anyone who simply needs a break from the activity.

Restrooms and Elevators

Accessible restrooms are located throughout the venue. Please ask a Marriott Marquis representative or Knitting LIVE! staff member or volunteer for directions to the nearest location.

Elevators provide access to all event floors including the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 9th floors.

Mobility Device Storage

Storage for wheelchairs, walkers, canes and other mobility devices is available at coat check on the 3rd floor.

Accessible Hotel Rooms

The New York Marriott Marquis offers ADA accessible guest rooms. Please contact the hotel directly when booking if you have specific accessibility needs.
