Cris Bertoluci has been been knitting for 30 years. From Brazil and currently living in São Paulo, she has a masters degree in fashion and textile, and she studied creative knitwear at Knit-1 in Brighton, UK, in 2011. This course changed her perspective on handcrafts and creativity and upon returning to Brazil that year, created a mission to change the way handcrafts are perceived in her country. That’s how she started teaching, researching, and finding new ways of working with knitting, crochet and other techniques. She launching her first book, about top-down sweaters, with 13 projects this April.
