Vogue Knitting LIVE! Gala Dinner Celebrating 140 Years of Lion Brand Yarn
Featuring Tony-Winning Actress, Television Star, and Avid Crocheter Sutton Foster

Saturday 7:00–10:00 PM

Don’t miss the Gala Dinner, celebrating Lion Brand's 140th Anniversary and Broadway, with keynote speaker Sutton Foster
Hosted by Knitwear Designer Josh Bennett, regular host of Knit@Nite at Alan Cumming's Club Cumming.

Currently starring as Liza in the critically-acclaimed TV Land series, Younger, Sutton Foster is a two-time Tony-winning actress, singer, and dancer perhaps best-known for her role as Reno Sweeney in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of Anything Goes at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, for which she won a Tony. She has earned dozens of Drama Desk and Drama League nominations for her many performances on Broadway, and she’s starred in TV shows (notably Bunheads) and has toured the country as a solo singer.

Sutton taught herself to crochet twenty years ago, while on vocal rest for two weeks, and the rest is history—she’s an avid stitcher who has made numerous blankets, booties, scarves, and more. She steals moments to crochet between scenes or setups while on set, saying “it relaxes me, and I feel like I can still pay attention to what’s going on around me. It’s very meditative.”

The exclusive Gala Dinner fashion show will celebrate Lion Brand’s 140th anniversary and pay homage to David Blumenthal. Lion Brand introduces a palette of 12 colors for their Colors of the Year Program. The fashion show will feature designs in Lion Brand’s latest yarns showcasing each of the 12 colors in on trend knit and crochet pieces.

Tickets for the Gala Dinner are only available with the purchase of the Big Apple Weekender or 5th Avenue Getaway Packages.
