Class Details:

This is a two-part class. Both sections of the class will automatically be placed in your cart when you select one of the sessions.

In this class, students will learn the basics of knitting with stacked stitches and begin a Fox Paws Wrap. We will start with an introduction to the stacked increase and decrease technique, which is used to create vertical movement within a row. They create unusual shapes in knitting and extremely wavy striped colorwork without strands on the wrong side of the piece. They are best known as the technique behind the Fox Paws pattern. Once the technique is mastered, we will cast on a swatch.

In the second half of the class, we will look at different ways of color blocking the pattern and work independently on our swatches. Students will learn ways to check their own work and fix any problems that arise at home while testing out their new yarn and color choice in the pattern.
