Class Details:

Students will be required to wear masks to attend this class.

Developed as a Swedish cottage industry in the middle of the twentieth century, Bohus fabrics combine color and texture to create amazing knits. In this hands-on workshop, learn how to artfully (and intentionally!) use purl bumps to play with shadow and light! Students must be comfortable with stranded knitting.

Homework:

Four swatches as follows:
#1: With smooth light-colored (and solid colored) worsted weight or DK weight yarn and appropriate size needles, cast on 14 stitches. Work 1” of K1P1 Rib, then knit one row and purl one row. Slip stitches onto a holder.
#2: Same as #1.
#3: With smooth light-colored (and solid colored) worsted weight or DK weight yarn and appropriate size needles, cast on 16 stitches. Same as #1.
#4: With smooth light-colored (and solid colored) worsted weight or DK weight yarn and appropriate size needles, cast on 20 stitches. Same as #1.

Supplies for Class:

4 homework swatches; appropriate-size needles; at least 4 colors of solid worsted- or DK-weight in colors sharply contrasting with the color(s) used in homework; sticky notes; scissors. (Optional kit: 100% angora yarn in 4 colors for the Marstrand hat $68. Order here by July 15.)
