Mohair Magic Design Contest: Garments inspired by Faerie Knitting
Vogue Knitting is proud to announce the Mohair Magic Design Contest: Garments Inspired by Faerie Knitting, sponsored by Mohair South Africa and Adams Meda and inspired by Alice Hoffman & Lisa Hoffman's upcoming book, Faerie Knitting.
Design a faerie garment inspired by Alice Hoffman & Lisa Hoffman's newest book, Faerie Knitting, using mohair yarn and you'll be eligible to compete for a $2,000 cash Grand Prize provided by Mohair South Africa.
Prizes include:
- $2,000 Grand Prize furnished by Mohair South Africa
- Editorial feature in a future issue of Vogue Knitting
- Gift basket full of mohair yarn
- Signed copy of Faerie Knitting
- Vogue Knitting LIVE package
All finalists will be showcased at Vogue Knitting LIVE San Francsicso. An international jury of hand-knitting experts will judge entries based on overall concept, uniqueness of vision, and technical execution.
Knitters of all levels are encouraged to submit their original faerie inspired designs. The design contest will only accept hand-knit women’s fashion garments (sweaters, tops, skirts, dresses, shawls, wings, etc.) sized small to medium and accessories. Multi-piece garments will be judged as a single garment. A maximum of four (4) entries per entrant will be accepted. Only hand-knit garments will be accepted. Only designs by individuals will be accepted. Crochet and embellishment may be added. We value creativity.
All entries and photos are due by August 27, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
