Name
How to Knit an I-Cord Selvedge Edge
Teacher
Brandi Cheyenne Harper
Class Description
This class is 1 of 6 in a series called Casting On and Binding Off for Modern Edges. You do not need to take all six! But as a whole they will give you a great set of skills.
We’ll begin with learning how to make an I-cord on double pointed needles. Then we’ll dive into picking up stitches along the I-cord we just made to create live stitches. This simple rounded edge accents all kinds of stitch patterns so beautifully and helps to keep stockinette stitch from curling. Create a clean, tidy cast on in just a few steps!
Technique Requirements: knit/purl; cast on/bind off; working in the round; have knit a few accessories; basic finishing techniques
