Class Details:

Knitting with two colors at once opens the doors for so many beautiful projects. In this class, you’ll take the first steps to mastering this skill, practicing working with two yarns at once and try different ways to hold the yarn to find the most comfortable method for your knitting style. We’ll also review basic color theory as it relates to stranded projects and (most importantly!) discuss how to avoid tension issues that can ruin a beautiful stranded project. Students will leave class with the beginning of a swatch that can be used as a decorative cuff or a mug cozy. Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, working in the round, easy colorwork

Homework:

Please bring to class two colors of good quality worsted weight yarn that are in high contrast to each other. You may bring more than two colors if you like, the more the merrier! Also bring a full set of four or five double pointed needles and/or a pair of circular needles of matching sizes. You’ll also need scissors, your phone camera, and a stitch marker.

Supplies for Class:

Class work will be a small circumference of 48 sts in the round, so please bring needles that work for you in this situation: either two US 6/4mm circular needles, or a 4 or 5 needle set of US 6/4mm dpns.
