Class Details:

In this class, we will learn the sewn bind-off, a technique that mimics a tubular bind-off without the need for grafting stitches. The technique is rhythmic and fun to work, and the result is undeniably beautiful! Once you get the hang of it, you'll want to use it on all your projects! Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, working in the round, have knit a few accessories

Homework:

Students will cast on a swatch that is equivalent to the average size of an adult hat worked in the round. Using 16" circuclar needles, cast on 96 sts . Place marker for BOR and join in the round being careful not to twist the stitches. Round 1: *(K1, P1). Repeat * to BOR marker. Repeat round 1 and continue working in 1x1 ribbing for two inches. Bring your swatch to class with live stitches on the needles.

Supplies to Bring:

One skein of worsted weight yarn plus corresponding circular needle size on a 16" cable. One darning needle. Yarn snips. A sense of humor and willingness to share.
