Learn how to customize the fit of a knitted garment by adding fabric in strategic areas. In this class, we will learn how to work German Short Rows so that you can get a custom fit out of any sweater pattern. Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, have knit a few accessories, experience with top-down garment construction
Students should come prepared to class by knitting two swatches in worsted weight yarn using a corresponding needle size (according to the ball band). The swatch details will be included in the class handout that will be sent before class.
Supplies for Class:
One skein of worsted weight yarn plus corresponding circular needles size on a 32" cable or longer. Simple stitch markers. A sense of humor and willingness to share.
