Class Details:
Learn about color selection in Fair Isle knitting by making a darling pincushion. With guidance from Mary Jane, learn how to look at yarns in a shop or in your stash with an eye to successful stranded colorwork projects. Mary Jane presents simple lessons that are easy to remember and apply to future projects. Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, working in the round, chart reading, have knit a few accessories, easy colorwork, basic finishing techniques
Homework:

None

Supplies for Class:

Yarn: Ideally six colors or more colors of fingering weight yarn; 10-12 yards of each color. More colors will allow for more choice and experimentation. Shetland wool is my favorite because of the fantastic fiber and the amazing array of colors. We want to have a selection of dark colors and light colors.

Needles: Your preferred needle for working small diameter pieces in the round, US3 [3.25mm] dps or long circular needle for magic loop. Stitch markers and tapestry needle. Alternately, you can use thicker yarn with needle size to match. This is a good color lesson for stash busting, so surround yourself with your stash!

Pattern: Pincushion Pattern will be available on Ravelry late April.
