Class Details:
How to make a pattern personalized is one of my most frequently asked questions of me as a tech editor. Modifying knitting patterns is a completely natural thing to do and corresponds well with meaning behind knitting: expressing our creativity by making items that are 100% unique and personal to us. This is something that as knitting has been commercialized, we have forgotten. You'll leave this lecture with a new understanding of patterns and knitting but also feel equipped to take on the challenge of making items that are entirely personal and the best-fitting clothing in your wardrobe. In this lecture we will walk through many different modifications that are necessary for each knitting pattern (but people tend to ignore) and others that will allow the knitter to make something that fits them perfectly.
