Tunisian crochet is a technique that uses a crochet hook with a long shaft and live stitches, resulting in unique textures and stitch patterns.
In this class, you will learn one of the basic Tunisian crochet stitches while crocheting a miniature cowl so you can later make a full-size one. You will also understand how to change colors and bind off through a small swatch, making it easy to grasp the simple construction process. After the class, you will receive a PDF with the official pattern.
Technique Requirements: For this class, you just need to be familiar with two basic stitches of traditional crochet: chain stitch and single crochet.
None
To practice during the class you will only need 2 half skeins (one in each color) of Aran yarn + a traditional crochet hook without a handle in size 8 mm (L/11) or 9 mm (M/13). To make the official piece from the pattern after class, I recommend 2 full skeins (one in each color) of Aran yarn and a basic Tunisian crochet hook with a 30 cm shaft in size 8 mm or 9 mm.
