Class Details:

The most difficult part of knitting a garment is generally agreed to be the finishing. Professional Finishing will teach you the essential techniques: blocking, seaming, setting in and adjusting in sleeves, a neat buttonhole technique, and picking up stitches. When you have learned it, you will, like I do, begin to enjoy the finishing and the utter satisfaction of completing a project.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, increase/decrease, have knit a whole garment, basic finishing techniques

Homework:

3 blocked knitted squares in stockinette stitch, minimum 10 cm/4 inches square.

Supplies to Bring:

Knitting needles between 3.5 mm/US 4 and 6 mm/US 10. Suitable yarn to selected needles in two different colors. Knitting notions (tapestry needle, stitch markers, small scissors etc.).
