Once you've mastered the basic of weaving, you can start playing with various techniques. Supplementary warp is a perfect technique as a start point of expanding your weaving repertoire! Supplementary warp is a set of threads, usually woven in the warp direction, that don't contribute to the structure of the cloth. It is used for decorative purposes only. This technique can be used for scarves/shawls as well as household textiles.
Technique Requirements: You should know how to warp your loom, and have finished weaving at least a few plain weave scarves in the past.
