Cochenille Design Studio develops software and design aids for the Textile and Fiber Art community. We will be demonstrating these during our Vendor Demonstrations. Garment Designer is a pattern software program (Mac or Windows) that allows you to create sweaters or sewing patterns. If you happen to both knit/sew you can create unique mixed media garments. If not, focus on your love. The software is easy to use, has thousands of styles. And also has a large library of standard-size measurements so you can make clothing for not only yourself but others. If you like you can put in your own personal measurements. Stitch Painter is a grid-based program that lets you design knitwear on a grid. It actually works for many textile arts such as beading, needlework, and basically anything you would design on a grid. The grid is adjustable so it can be rectangular or square. The software also offers symbols for design. Optional Plug-Ins allow you to customize the software for beading or stitchery. In addition, there is a plug-in that allows you to take photographs, color-reduce, and grid them. Cochenille also produced videos and webinars and design aids to assist you in your creative world. We teach workshops both online and in person.
