So you’ve knit a pair of socks or two and you’ve done some stranded colorwork. How about having a bit more fun and combine the two? You’ll start work on a pair of Fair Isle socks, stranding while picking up tips and techniques. We’ll learn to read charts, make a simple heel that makes Fair Isle work easy and uninterrupted, plus two heel options. We’ll explore different ideas for choosing and combining colors. Follow the pattern Mary Jane provides or plunge in and design your own custom pair. Come ready for colorful fun and adventure. Technique Requirements: Have experience with socks and colorwork
Homework:

On smaller needles cast on 64 sts. Join for working in the round, being careful not to twist. K1 P1 rib for 1½ inches.

Supplies for Class:

Between 3 and 8 colors of fingering-weight wool (Shetland Wool preferred), 1–2 oz (25–50g) of 3 colors; US size 3/3.25mm dpns or your preferred needles for knitting socks in the round; tapestry needle; scissors; stitch markers. Graph paper and colored pencils, if desired.
