Class Details:
This is a multi-part class. Attendees must register for all parts in order to take this class
In this class we will look at 3 different shawl styles from Shetland, the Faroe islands and Iceland. We will explore the constructions and patterns used in each tradition by making mini samplers.
Technique Requirements: Knit/purl; cast on/bind off; increase/decrease; beginner lace; chart reading; have knit a few accessories

Supplies to Bring:
Yarn: 100 yards of fingering-weight yarn in MC, 25 yards each of CC1, CC2, and CC3. 250 yards of DK weight yarn in single color. 100 yards of Lace weight yarn in MC, 25 yards each of CC1 and CC2. Note: Please avoid variegated or dark yarns and if possible choose woolly (not superwash) yarn. Needles: US 7/4.5mm and US 8/5mm 24 inch circular needles. Notions: Stitch markers, scrap yarn for holding stitches; highlighter tape or similar for help with keeping track of lace chart; row counter (optional).
