Class Details:
Detailed edgings are a signature feature of Louisa Harding’s designs. In this workshop we will explore different ways of adding edgings to your knitted projects, from professionally picking up stitches along a side edge and adding a picot cast-off to increasing and decreasing stitches to create ruffled and undulating edgings. Once these skills have been mastered, these techniques can be used to transform the simplest accessories and sweaters. Technique Requirements: Knit/purl; cast on/bind off; increase/decrease; beginner lace
Homework:
Using DK or worsted weight yarn work as swatch as follows: Cast on 30 sts, work 4 rows in garter stitch, then work 30 rows in stockinette stitch, leave the stitches on a needle.
Supplies for Class:
Bring swatch, including the yarn and needles used.
