Class Details:

The Modular Elongated Triangle (or Triangular) Shawl that will be taught in this class is knitted in two different directions! The idea is to use the Talyse pattern to demonstrate the details and techniques of this construction, which creates a very elongated tringle (Wingspan 68” / 173 cm x Center Depth 15” / 38 cm after blocking) shawl with just one skein of fingering or sock yarn!

Concepts covered in class:
- Focused on teaching a few techniques and how to knit a medium size shawl with only one skein of fingering to sock yarn.
- The participants will learn how to knit sideways creating a biased fabric with a very simple 2 row repetition. They will also learn how-to pick-up stitches from another section and after this step, start knitting from the top down, with a new and also very simple 2 row repetition.

Homework:

None

Supplies for Class:

Download the Talyse pattern (available on Ravelry); If you would like to knit the full shawl, you'll need one skein of fingering to sock weight yarn with approx. 430 yards; US 6 (4 mm) needle (straight or circulars); lock (or removable) stitch marker; paper and pencil for notes.
