Tips & Techniques
Class Details:

Make your yarn go further by adding holes. Create beautiful, flowing open fabrics with large holes made without binding off or casting on. These openings are strangely addictive once you have the knack. These versatile holes can be used as buttonholes, decorative increases, decreases, button bands, bag handles and exotic edges using Modified conventional bind off.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off

Homework:

Using one of your smooth sport- through worsted-weight yarns, cast on 37 stitches. Knit one row. Leave stitches live and yarn attached.

Supplies for Class:

Double pointed or circular needles in a size to suit your yarn. Fine tapered ‘lace’ tips are helpful. 2 x 20g smooth sport - worsted weight yarn, solid or handpaint. (Precise yarn weight is not critical.)

Crochet hook

Scissors and your usual knitting paraphernalia.
