Class Details:

In this class students will learn how to work with more than one color at the same time and using typical Portuguese motifs (tiles, tapestries...); all aspects of working with colors will be addressed.

- Color theory
- Color dominance and how to make a motif pop out of the work
- How to catch floats behind the work
- How to use the Portuguese Style to maintain a constant and perfect tension.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, chart reading, advanced colorwork, Previous experience in Stranded Colorwork preferred and in Portuguese Knitting Basics also. If the students know to work stranded knitting and they apply to my other class of Portuguese Knitting for Beginners they will be able to take this class also

Supplies for Class:

A range of needles between US 4 to 6 circular needles. Sport/ light DK yarn in at least 4 to 6 different and contrasting colors, if possible the same brand. Colored pencils. Basic notions (stitch markers, scissors).
