One of the most pleasant aspects of knitting is to give a new life to yarn leftovers and what we have in our stash! It is not rare to have a perfect skein sit in the yarn cabinet for years, or precious small balls from previous projects. The “Upcycling Your Stash” series was created to stimulate creativity, to experiment with different techniques to create a knitting piece with what we have!
The marling technique is not only beautiful, but a great colorwork technique where strands of yarn held together create unexpected colors and textures! We can make amazing color sequences, change the drape of a yarn, work with different yarn weights, and much more. The result is always uniquely beautiful!
