Class Details:

Since Woolly published their Elemental collection in 2017, they’ve been developing their own approach to short-row colorwork, refining the details and methods, and adapting its uses.

Now a fully fledged technique, with a first-of-its-kind book available from Sixth&Spring books, you can learn how this new colorwork method works, understand its key skills and principles, and explore for yourself how to create dynamic, attention-grabbing knitting!

Woolly will walk you through the primary concepts, show how short rows create the fabric, and demonstrate key skills as you work through a swatch within the class. You’ll learn all about German short rows, including how to repair them, knit them backward, and graft them. With your own yard oddments you can experiment with different color combinations and learn how this method of creating colorwork patterns differs from others.

This exciting new technique opens up new ways to explore color, and effortlessly lends itself to a variety of construction techniques, making it versatile as well as fascinating.
