Fasten your seatbelts and get ready to add that perfect finishing touch to your beautiful knits with clean zippers and cute buttons! In this class, we’ll delightfully explore adding fasteners to your knitting projects, ensuring a professional and polished look. We’ll cover everything from selecting the right fasteners to creating sturdy buttonholes and neatly inserting zippers.

Whether you're completing a cozy cardigan or a stylish bag, knowing how to properly attach zippers and buttons is essential for functionality and aesthetics.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, working in the round

Homework:

With a DK-weight yarn and US 6 (4mm) needles, cast on 30 sts.
Row 1: *k2, p2*, rep from * to * to end.
Row 2: "p2, k2*, rep from * to * to end.
Repeat Rows 1 & 2 for a total of 18 rows. Bind off all stitches.

Create 1 more of these 2x2 ribbed panels. Block both pieces and dry before bringing to class.

Along with your homework, please bring a DK-weight yarn and US 6 (4mm) needles. Zippers and buttons will be provided.
