Class Details:

Begin designing with Fair Isle motifs by starting with a hat! MJ provides a basic hat pattern with multiple options for you to pick and choose from to make it your own. Experiment with color! Go wild and invent your own pattern motifs—MJ will show you how! Lots of individual attention with group participation encouraged.

Homework:

On smaller needle cast on 88 sts. Join for working in the round.

Supplies to Bring:

3–8 colors of worsted weight yarn, 90–135 m [100–150 yd] each of two high contrast colors and 25–50 m [25–55 yd] of additional colors, 40cm [16 in] circular needles in 4mm, [US6] 4.5mm [US7], and 5mm [US8], one set 4.5mm [US7] dpns or your preferred needles for working small diameter pieces in the round; tapestry needle, stitch markers, calculator, graph paper and a pencil for taking notes. Colored pencils if desired.
