Class Details:

Become a fan of the very popular brioche family of stitches. This intriguing and unique knitting technique produces irresistable, soft, 3-dimensional and reversible fabric. In this class, you will learn basic brioche in one and two colors using Faina's unique method. Your handout will include some other simple brioche stitches that you will be able to do on your own after class is over. Some helpful materials will be sent to you right before class time.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, chart reading, Reading instructions in a pattern

Homework:

1. Practice long-tail cast-on
2. Practice slip-stitch selvage (see my tutorial)
3. Make preparation for swatches as follows: With circular needle and DK or worsted solid-color yarn, CO 20 sts and leave them on needle. Repeat 2 more times with different yarn and needles.

Supplies to Bring:

Two contrasting solid-color yarns (DK or worsted weight) and suitable size circular needles. Stitch markers.
