Technique Requirements: Know how to work some simple stitch patterns.
Make two swatches and leave them on different needles.
Each swatch:
CO 40 sts.
Row 1 (WS): Sl1, knit to end.
Row 2: Sl1, purl to last st, k1.
Repeat these two rows 3 more times. Do not bind off.
Sport- or DK-weight light and solid-colored yarn. Needles: US 4–6, stitch markers, pencil and paper for notes.
