This class explores in depth the material presented in Catherine’s multi-part Couture Knitting classes previously offered at Knitting LIVE events and expands on The Bottom Line class she presented at several of the Virtual Knitting LIVE events in 2021 and 2022.
Technique Requirements: knit/purl, a basic understanding of the structure of knitted fabric; able to identify knit and purl stitches on both the right and wrong sides of knitted fabric; comfortable with basic stitch manipulations such as slipping, twisting, knitting through the back of the loop; familiar with traditional knit long-tail cast-on; able to execute open running thread increases., both knit and purl
None, but be prepared to knit in class.
Please have with you approximately 50 yards of DK-weight yarn in a medium or light color and approximately 5 yards of fingering-weight yarn in a color that contrasts with the DK weight. Both of these yarns should be a solid color, not variegated. Please do not plan to use roving or novelty, boucle or tweed yarn. You will need needles size 2–6 US (3.0–4 mm).
