Let’s dive into the exciting technique of bead embroidery! Incorporating glass beads into your hand-knitted garments or accessories will elevate your pieces, lending them a unique look and creating depth with a new texture. This technique can also be applied to commercially made knitwear. Do you have a favorite sweater in your closet with a small hole or a stubborn spot that just won’t come out? You can transform it with a stunning beaded design embroidered on top! From hats and scarves to cardigans and sweaters, the possibilities are endless.
In this class, I’ll guide you step-by-step through the process of embroidering with beads in various styles. We’ll also explore how to apply beaded embroidery to heavily textured pieces—there’s a little secret there that I’d love to share with you! To inspire your future projects, I’ll showcase multiple samples of this beautiful technique in an array of colors and techniques.
