Unlock the secrets of a captivating technique in our upcoming class: cross stitch embroidery on mesh knitting. This innovative method is inspired by my renowned designs, the Mia Hat and Rose Cardigan, both featured in Vogue Knitting’s Spring/Summer 2019 issue under the spotlight of “Trending Now: Embroidery on Knits.” As they say, “If knitting is the canvas, embroidery is the paint.” Discover how the fusion of these two fiber arts produces spectacular results.
In this class, you’ll learn the art of creating firm and uniform cross stitches atop mesh knits. Learn essential techniques for achieving flawless embroidery while preserving the integrity of your knitted canvas. Dive into the intricacies of blocking specifically tailored for this technique and similar designs.
Be inspired as we showcase a diverse array of samples, highlighting the possibilities of fiber and color combinations. Please note that homework is required for this class.
