Students will work through Vincent's Pillow Party (throw pillow) pattern for tips and tricks to understanding stitch anatomy, creating the magic ring, methods for adding a new color at the start of a new round/row, and specifically highlight how and why we'd seam with a tapestry needle (mattress stitch vs whip stitch) vs crochet-as-you-go (joining fabric with double crochets vs slip stitches).
