This class mixes technique and creativity!

The techniques: Participants will learn the I-cord tab, I-cord edges as knit, and the structure of a half pi shawl.

The creativity: The handout includes a half pi shawl template and a mini stitch dictionary with 9 reversible motifs. All the stitches and rows fit any section of the shawl! After the techniques to start the shawl, the participants are free to choose their favorite motifs creating their own shawl!

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, increase/decrease, beginner lace, chart reading

Supplies for Class:

• Printed out handout (available in the Event Hub the week of the event)
• Approximately 80 yards to knit the beginning of the shawl. For knitting the whole shawl (not in class), the participant will need aprox. 1.000 yards of fingering or Sock weight yarn. You can use any yarn weight for this pattern. Just be aware about the final measurements that works for you. Yardage may vary.
• Needles: 6 (4 mm) 40” circular needles; US 6 (4mm) set of double points; G6 (4 mm) crochet hook. If your tension is loose, change the needles and crochet hook for size 5 (3.75 mm) or size 4 (3.5 mm).
• Stitch markers; 1 locking stitch marker; leftover yarn for provisional cast on; tapestry needle
