Class Details:

These wristlets will take you through the ins and outs of stranded color knitting, including managing yarn while knitting with 2 colors, and yarn color dominance. Pattern includes six distinct braids: Latvian herringbone braids and 2 kinds of half braids, all both left and right facing. Technique Requirements: knit/purl; cast on/bind off; working in the round; have knit a few accessories; easy colorwork

Homework:

Student MUST be comfortable working small circumference in the round, either magic loop, 2 circulars, flexi flips, or DPNs. Cast on 49 sts with Color A (NOT MC) and long tail cast on. Join to work in the round by knitting first and last sts together, being careful not to twist. 48 sts.

Supplies for Class:

3 50g balls DK or sport weight yarn in contrasting colors, 2 light (Colors A and B) and 1 dark main color (MC), or 2 dark (A and B) and 1 light main color (MC). US size 4 (3.5 mm) needles: dpns, 2 circulars, or magic loop. (Student should already be comfortable working small circumferences in the round.)
