Honky Tonk is a fun-to-knit asymmetrical triangular mosaic shawl. It begins with just a few stitches and increases with easy “knit front and back” stitches on one side edge to create a beautiful and useful silhouette. Most of the shawl is simple garter stitch stripes with a unique zig-zag pattern worked with classic mosaic (slip stitch) knitting using just one color per row. It's color knitting the easy way!

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, chart reading

Supplies for Class:
 • Sportweight yarn (for the shawl: 550 yds each in 2 strongly contrasting colors; for class, one ball in each color)
 • Circular knitting needle, size 6 (4mm) or size needed to obtain gauge, 29" long; stitch markers
 • sticky notes.
Materials Fee (to Be Paid Directly to the Teacher):

Optional kit: $84 for 2 hanks (1,120 yds total!) of Miss Babs’ Keira yarn in your choice of colorways in the shop on ; all orders must be placed at least 6 weeks prior to class.
