Class Details:
Create and embellish a textured tapestry with beautiful floral embroidery. You’ll practice basic embroidery stitches, add fringe and hang your tapestry from a dowel.
Homework:
Students will need to pre-knit 1 rectangle for class: Using US size 10.5 needles, 50 yds bulky yarn size 5-6. Cast on 16 st, knit 30 rows in garter stitch, bind off.
Supplies to Bring:
• Scissors
• Tapestry wool or colorfast stash yarn (mix of weights, worsted or heavier)
• Leftover bulky yarn from homework
• 6-inch long dowel, ⅝” diameter
• Crochet hook, US size I-K
• Tapestry needle
• Knit scrap/swatch to practice embroidery on (can be an old sweater, even). This is not the same as the homework swatch.
