Class Details:

Let’s knit tiny cats together! In this class, we’ll cover toy techniques, like working with a small number of stitches on double-pointed needles, I-cord limbs, and picking up stitches for ears and a tail. You can choose if you’ll make a walking cat or a seated cat. We’ll also discuss embroidered variations and how to customize your cat by breed.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl

Homework:

None

Supplies for Class:

• 12 yards of fingering-weight yarn (or your preferred thickness yarn) in one color plus accent color for eyes. Note: worsted-weight yarn and size 5 US (3.75mm) needles are recommended for less experienced toy knitters
• Set of size 1 US (2.25mm) double-pointed needles (or needles 2–3 sizes smaller than normally suggested for your weight of yarn)
• Stuffing (polyester fiberfill recommended)
• Tapestry needle and scissors
