Class Details:

In this class we will meet and learn a mostly unknown type of lace edgings from Serbia! These edgings have been used since the late eighteenth century and are worked in a way that results in very delicate and attractive lace. During the class you will learn:
• Some of the history and tradition of this type of edgings.
• How to work this type of lace.
• Suitable materials (yar,n etc.) for this type of work.
• Tips and tricks to execute this technique

We will knit samples of various types of edgings, so that you feel confident and can learn everything in detail.

Technique Requirements: You must be comfortable working advanced lace stitches and be able to read lace charts.

Supplies for Class:

• US 4/ 5 (3.5/3.75 mm) needles
• 50 gr of lace yarn ( please no mohair or anu fuzzy yarns) in a light color
• stitch markers
• scissors
