Class Details:

A more advanced class for those who have already knitted socks flat and want to learn how you can knit them on the machine in the round. For confident machine knitters, this class will take you through knitting one plain sock in the round from the rib top down. The only finishing that will be required will be the seam on the rib top—everything else will be completed on the machine. You will finish the class with instructions to complete the second sock in your own time after class.

Homework:

None

Supplies for Class:

Suitable for any standard-gauge domestic Japanese knitting machines with a ribber. Recommended yarn for class: I use a 2/11.3 lambswool yarn which knits beautifully. You will need something similar in weight to this (anything up to a traditional 4-ply weight) in two contrasting colors, along with a waste yarn that is a strong contrast color to both of your main yarns. For waste yarn I use old stash yarn that is less fluffy than wool—nylon or polyester works well but anything will do.
