Knitting, Tips & Techniques
Class Details:

Different projects benefit from different techniques in casting on and binding off: sometimes you need a firm bind-off, and sometimes a stretchy one. Sometimes you want to cast on provisionally, or using two colors, or in ribbing. In this class we’ll explore new ways to cast on and bind off and share tips to improve your technique on your old favorites.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, have knit a few accessories

Knit 4 micro swatches using the recommended yarn and needles. For each, cast on 40 stitches. Working flat, knit 1/2 inch in stockinette stitch. Leave the stitches live, either on the needles or on a stitch holder, with a tail that is at least 4 times the length of the swatch.

Supplies for Class:

About 30 yards of worsted weight yarn and compatible-size (US #7-9) needles OR your preferred weight yarn and matching needles, scissors, stitch markers, a tapestry needle.
