Class Details:

Learn three fun techniques in this quick to knit cowl! You'll make elongated stitches and gather them up into floral motifs, learn the quilted lattice slip stitch stitch (single and/or contrasting color), and learn to add beads with a Bead Aid tool or crochet hook.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl; cast on/bind off

Homework:

Cast on 120 (132, 192) sts for 22 (24, 35)" cowl. Place marker to mark beginning of round, join to work in the round. K 1 rnd; P 1 rnd. See you in class!

Supplies for Class:

Fingering-weight yarn, 2 skeins in contrasting colors. US 4/3.5mm 24" circular needle. You'll want a smooth join between cable and needle, so your yarn overs don't get stuck at the join. Stitch marker to note beginning of round. Crochet hook US 13/14 (0.90 mm) for placing beads, or a Bead Aid tool (available from beadaid.com) 400 size 6/0 beads (or 600 for the longer cowl).
