Tips & Techniques
In this class, we will be working with variegated hand-dyed yarns! We will talk about different types of hand-dyed yarns, how to pick the right yarn for your project, and how to calculate the magic number to control color pooling for beautiful effects. This workshop will be part lecture and part practical. In the second half of class, you will calculate the magic number for a skein of hand-dyed yarn and we will cast on for a color-pooled cowl.
Supplies to Bring:
One skein of worsted-weight yarn, hand dyed either “around the skein” or “across the skein,” approx 200 yards, US7 24" circular needles, pen or pencil, calculator.
