Using colorwork techniques, this workshop celebrates the universal language of flowers and opens up an exciting world of color and creativity. Dee guides participants through every step of creating your own knitted story quilt, from finding inspiration for color palettes and creating templates out of seasonal flowers and leaves, to mastering the intarsia technique. This workshop will focus on designing a decorative hexagon to form the first section of your very own intarsia heirloom quilt. You’ll be greeted by a beautifully laid-out table covered with everything you need to get started, including templates of plants and flowers, and an array of stunning Rowan yarns in gorgeous palettes. With dozens of yarns to choose from, there’s endless potential for creativity. It’s wonderful to see everyone's ideas blossom during the course of a workshop as Dee expertly leads participants through each aspect of the design process.
