Class Details:
In just three colors, Dee will guide you through the process of knitting a stunning pillow cover in a design from her new Seasonal Palette collection that features a delicate trailing vine motif. Dee will reveal her secrets on how to create successful palettes and how to create palettes from the flowers and leaves around you. She'll also bring along knitted swatches to give a feel for the amazing variety of looks that can be achieved, and will provide expert tips on working with color so that you can choose palettes with confidence. As well, Dee will explain how she keeps a 'treasure box' of her favorite yarns, ribbons and swatches to dip into whenever she's looking for inspiration. Dee will show you how to work a neat seam in the intarsia technique as well as teaching you how to create neat and tidy color changes to make your work look professional, along with her signature tips. I also show you how I combine stranded color work with intarsia for smaller motifs. Technique Requirements: knit/purl; cast on/bind off; chart reading; advanced colorwork; basic finishing techniques
Homework:

Please cast on 101 stitches in any DK cotton yarn using size US 6 needles or size US 5 needles if you are a loose knitter. Once you have cast on your 101 stitches, please knit one row and purl one row. You can use any cast-on method. Please bring this to class with you.
