Class Details:
In this class, we will learn lace shaping techniques. We start with a stretchy cast-on, the German Twisted Cast on, and then practice directional increases and decreases to create graphic lines within the knit fabric. We will also learn how to mirror lace for symmetry. Lastly, we will contrast and compare several lace patterns to determine how each is constructed. Some knitters are intimidated by tiny needles and fine lace yarn, but in this class, we will use larger needles and bulky yarn. The result will be a lovely modern macrame-style wall hanging on a brass hoop, all made using lace knitting techniques!
