Color, Tips & Techniques
If you’ve always wanted to explore colorwork knitting, this is a great place to start! Learn all the techniques of one of Patty’s most popular patterns, the Labadee Cowl. In this class we will work a mini sample and learn all the secrets, like the magical “unvented” contrasting color I-cord cast-on, chart reading, slip-stitch knitting, lifted floats, how to knit in your tail as you go, the contrasting color I-cord bind-off, and sooo much more. We’ll also learn some lifesaving tips on yarn control, jogless joins, circular knitting tips, swatching in the round, and even fixing mistakes. By the end of class you’ll be ready to tackle this incredibly popular pattern AND you can order the kit that includes the yarn to make the cowl using a promo code to get the pattern (it’s included at 35% off with the kit). The pattern comes with 11 video tutorials, so you can be reminded of everything you learned in class! Kits will be delivered on class day.
