Class Details:
Portuguese knitters are always interested in expanding their stitch library and knitting skills. After receiving so many requests, we have now this class, which will show you how to work brioche knitting using Portuguese style. The difference is to work with the yarn in front at all times instead of having it on the back of the work. This class is not intended to teach you Portuguese knitting, but to show you very basic stitches in the method. If you have not worked brioche, that’s OK. We are going to go over all skills to make the adorable scarf and hat you see in the picture. Pattern will be given to you during class. Mostly we are going to use Brioche one color. We will talk about 2 colors as well. Technique Requirements: Be familiar with Portuguese style knitting.
Homework:
None
Supplies for Class:
Worsted-weight yarn in a light color (I used Malabrigo Worsted). If you want enough yarn to complete the projects, you will need 4 skeins. Otherwise, just one skein to practice in class. Size 6 mm (US4) needles flat and circular 16 inches long. Tapestry needle, scissors, stitch marker.
Materials Fee (to Be Paid Directly to the Teacher):
Knitting pin U$5.00/each optional
